I like the look of the twig chandelier, but I it has to be a fire hazard just like Christmas trees are. If people took the time to pay attention to the number of families and children are killed each Christmas due to house fires caused by the Christmas tree catching on fire from the lights they wouldn't put lights on their tree. You just can't put something combustable or flamable next to a heat source, and not expect it to catch on fire! BTW, my husband has been a firefighter for 30 years so I'm very aware of the danger......

hayleydaniels - It doesn't have to be a fire hazard. If one is careful about how far away from the heat source it can be perfectly safe. It also depends on the light source, granted there are no "cool" light bulbs, they all can get pretty hot, but a few inches in some cases are all that are needed. There are those LED "candles" that don't even get warm on the outside of the "candle".
