As another poster commented, if you don't understand biochemistry, it is very difficult to grasp the nuances of nutrition. There is so much about the current set of dietary claims that is politically motivated, that you can't trust most recommendations. The Western diet is terribly unhealthy. Starbird is at least partially correct. Quit eating grains. This includes flour, oats, rice, beer, corn, and so on. Milk and milk products should be organic, unpastuerized, and consumed sparingly. It is for baby cows, and it contains proteins, hormones, and insulin factors that are not very good for humans. Potatoes should be limited to occasional consumption only, as they do contain toxins - remember the green potatoes are poisonous. Cane sugar should be avoided. There are other sweeteners that are better for us, like honey and maple syrup. Coconut sugar is also a good alternative that tastes similar to table sugar. Our bodies really aren't designed to metabolize any grains or processed foods properly on a genetic, cellular level. The process creates toxins and disrupts our ph balance, causing all sorts of inflammatory disease processes and damaging our kidneys and other organs. We need to increase our intake of fresh, frozen, and cooked fruits and vegetables, fish, and quality meats, as well as nut and seed based oils. This is how we were designed to eat. For many of us, the shift in eating habits results in weight loss, because we are making better food choices across the board and are not as hungry.
But I digress..... The whole point of this article was about setting up our environment to foster healthy eating habits. I think he had some very good suggestions, though they may not work for every family or situation. We are hoping to build soon, and I will definitely keep some of his tips in mind when planning my kitchen.

Um, honey contains glucose and fructose. Table sugar is a mixture of glucose and fructose, High fructose corn syrup contains glucose and fructose. Guess what maple syrup and coconut sugar are?

Your body metabolizes glucose from any source the same way. Your body metabolizes fructose from any source the same way. Any trace minerals in brown sugar, coconut sugar, maple syrup, or honey are minimal compared to the sugars they provide.

Yes that is correct. The melamine drawers are doweled together, but their is a wood dovetail upgrade available from this company, along with maple melamine interiors.

I'm sorry but we would not be able to answer your question on concrete roof covering materials. We are a kitchen and bath design company.
