I was attracted by the main photo because I love gardens with walls and strong architectural elements. We do have such a garden now (an atrium garden) and its modest size (less than 2000 square feet) calls for restraint. It was a suffocating, multicolored hodgepodge, so we removed everything and started from scratch. When we're finished, we'll probably have 25% stuff and 75% space. That corresponds with the style of the house and our decorating tastes. After all, the concepts for a successful interior design also apply to the outdoor room.
