Welcoming, full of light and livable are words frequently used to describe my projects. I design new modern houses as well as remodel and refresh older homes. I enjoy working with clients that love design and want to be part of a collaborative process.
I begin each project by talking with clients about their design goals and establish an understanding of their spatial requirements and lifestyle. I develop a series of possible approaches and, from there, a design direction is determined that will serve as the basis for the construction documents. I will work with you to find a contractor and serve as your representative during the construction process.
Often my clients have not worked with an architect before and I am happy to answer questions and explain the design and construction process. It can seem overwhelming at first, but my role is to provide guidance and help clients make sound decisions.
I founded my Seattle-based practice in 2004. My work is featured in the Seattle Times’ Pacific Northwest Magazine, Inhabit and Seattle Homes & Lifestyles. In 2010, I won Seattle Homes & Lifestyles Architect’s Favorite Spaces.
I’m a licensed architect and LEED BD+C certified. I received my Masters of Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona.
My civic contributions include serving on the Seattle Design Review Board and the Seattle Design Commission. In 2004, the American Institute of Architects elevated me to the College of Fellows for my contributions to the profession.

Sheri Olson Architecture PLLC commented on a discussion

Sheri Olson Architecture PLLC They are both Dacor. The cooktop is gas and the oven is electric. I hav enow gone away from recommending that brand and suggest Viking or Wolf. I'm also impressed by the new conduction/induction cooktops.
