Do you have a picture of the part that's wood and rebar? Did you dig that area and then add soil? I have all weeds, really bad weeds that i might have to dig out and then add soil to do this. (horsetail, black berry, and morning glory.

No, sorry no photo other than what is uploaded. Made the wood retaining wall first and then amended the cut soil behind it with compost and top soil.

It is your common, standard decomposed granite. It looks lighter than "new" DG because of the lighting and it has been in the ground a few years. It has aged.
