Daltile has a series named Modern Dimensions and they have a subway tile color called matte biscuit that I think will go well with the 1x1 hexagon crema marfil you have selected already. I think that may be a good starting point. Good luck and post pictures!

Over the sideboard would look great. It will also help reflect more light into the room.

The nude grout will outline the tiles and make them stand out more but it will not change the look of the backsplash. I would just suggest not to go with anything too dark

It's a very light nude shade and the grout has ground up glass in it so it has a subtle sparkle.

I think any of the first three shades of grey would pair very nicely with the dark walnut floors and cabinets.

I like the fifth color of gray. Here are a few more BM colors in gray Nightingale AF670. Metropolitan AF690. Coventry gray /hc169. Gray owl OC52. Gray horse 2140-50. These are all beautiful grays. I don't feel that a darker color would make your seem smaller. Especially is you used lighter colored accessories

I think taking the stone to the ceiling and keeping it inside the green tape would look great!

It will look like more of a focal point if you keep the tile within the green tape and continue it up to the ceiling. If it entire area is covered in the stone, it would be a bit overwhelming and would lose it's wow factor.

I would suggest moving the large couch to face the love seat. That way it creates more of a conversation setting and it would really open up the view to the beautiful apex window. I would also suggest adding pops of color to add dimension to space. Have fun and share photos!

Luxe Water Walls
You have a beautiful home. one idea for wall decoration is a water wall. This will also help create that relaxing and soothing space that many people are looking for in their homes. Water walls are not only pleasing to the eye but they also help clean the air by attracting dust particles.

A larger rug with a pattern or color would help pull it all together. Maybe a decorative floor lamp, too. You have a beautiful room and nice furniture, but something bothers me when a couch blocks access to the outdoors. Try moving things around - and maybe not so close to the patio doors.

Pillows. Pillows can give any couch a face lift with new patterns and colors to play off of. From there you can choose a color or patterned rug. As for accessories, a coffee table and a couple of side tables would complete the look. Also, do not be afraid to play with different patterns and textured. Have fun and post pictures!

The paneled wall could be sheet rocked over fairly easily to allow for paint. This will help lighten up the room both in color as well as in texture.

I agree with CAGE - it is better to sheetrock over this. This wall is so imposing it is overbearing and even with a paint job, the diagonal planks will dominate the vertical plane.

Larger subway tiles will not match the traditional style of your kitchen. I would suggest waiting for the tile you want or finding another vendor. Good luck with your project.
