Great spaces begin with great design! My name is Julie and my design company is Southern Wild Design. I am a lifelong gardener and a former butterfly farmer! Yelp, you read that correctly. I owned a farm that I converted to a nature center and butterfly farm. On that farm, I designed and installed all of the gardens--inside and outside of the butterfly house. We hosted hundreds of school children while raising butterflies commercially and sharing our love for the great outdoors. So, naturally, my garden designs center around creating spaces that feel good, look lovely, and are inviting to all creatures!

I am an independent landscape designer. I help homeowners and businesses create a plan for their outdoor spaces. Whether it is a small area or an overall design, a plan that you can implement over time saves you money in the long term and creates a garden space that flows. All of the pieces fit together seamlessly.

Having a plan is the perfect tool for the DIYer. If you enjoy installing your own outdoor projects, a plan is the blueprint for your project. Or if you prefer, your set of plans can be submitted to installation companies for an apples-to-apple bid. Either way, you are making a wise decision for the aesthetic value of your property, which, in turn, affects the property values.
