Dana Veach It sounds divine, Casart...I may borrow items from your play book...I do the Juleps from scratch and usually a cheese ball and a Bourbon chocolate pie....your hash, biscuits, salad, and Hot Browns sound really good! As to the guest list...we're also a bunch of DWIs...primarily women...who've grown up around horse culture in some manner or other and just can't get through May and June of every year without hoping for a Triple Crown winner! It's always been a really informal gathering...not a "party," per se, and Derby Day is the grand beginning to that short season! Love the Mardi Gras silks...much of my family hails from Louisiana!
