LMR Designs, LLC Paint the box that goes along the ceiling the light wall color. Paint the inside of the box a fun complementary color or a Robin egg blue color to look like the sky. It will give a feeling of openness.

LMR Designs, LLC What do you think about putting a mustard yellow? If you like the idea, I'll give you a suggestion.

wickedwhite I would paint the box the same colour as the ceiling. I have something similar in my kitchen and went that route. Take a look.

LMR Designs, LLC For a warm neutral color try Benjamin Moore AF 135 or for a little green color which I use as a neutral all the time AF-410.

parisgirl1970 You said that you're moving out in a year or so. Keep it light and neutral, as your belongings will then match up nicely. For the next buyers- it will not only look larger, but you won't be painting over that turquoise wall color (at the last minute) that you chose today.

Curb Appeal Renovations I agree with going with something neutral and not to crazy since you will be selling soon. Make sure it is something that you will be happy with though.

LMR Designs, LLC This was done by my professional painters that I like my clients to hire on all my projects . They did sand it down first. Benjamin Moore paint was used.

LMR Designs, LLC You are welcome. The handrails and post color are AF-180 Wenge. My painter color matched the spindles to the existing trim throughout the home, which was repainted as part of this project.
