Susan Serra, CKD The project folder is buried in my archives, so access to the layout is difficult. The refrigerator and freezer are on the right side of the image and are the tall pieces with the window pane configuration. I do not have the job folder nearby so I cannot give you a specific sq ft number.

Susan Serra, CKD Thanks for writing! Selecting foundation design elements that are also permanent (not to mention costly) requires much thought and understanding of the entire room as well as the spaces beyond the kitchen to understand the global view of the smaller and larger design elements. Please contact me via my consulting page and I'd be happy to dedicate time to giving you my best advice for your specific situation. http://www.susanserraassociates.com/consulting/

sueeasthom We live in a semi detached home, and the kitchen is on an interior wall, which has NO natural light. We have painted the walls light grey (Benjamin Moore) and the cabinets, (which are made of plain flat, laminated MDF which we painted several years ago, with Melamine. We are re-painting the cabinets a dark grey from the same palate as the lighter version we chose for the walls and bulk head. My daughter will install a very light grey (or white) glossy back splash tile with silver grout to balance the new black granite sink. Our issue is the "over-the-sink" lighting is very important as it is an interior wall. The "stud" over the sink is not centered so my wish for a single pendant light isn't going to work. *unless the pendant light hangs 3-4 inches off center!!!! :( Now what can we install for lighting that looks modern and simple? My son in law thinks that 2 or 3 small pot lights will do the trick, and cover where we need them to, but we already have so many in the kitchen. I am also looking for a design, hopefully with an inset mirror, over the sink, with decorative tiles acting as a 'frame" for the mirror. Does anyone "get" me??? Thanks in advance for any input and ideas!!!
