I like dogs, but like you I am allergic. I have figurines that are incorporated into the house decor on occasion. I used 2 moss-covered dogs carrying floral baskets into the centerpiece for my Mom's 85th birthday. She has a dog that she just LOVES (in fact, I think I'm out of the will and the dog is in!!!), so I wanted to include the pup in the festivities. She was thrilled...but I'm still a runner-up for her affections! ;-)

To be honest I am not sure if this was a 2 " slab or if it was mitered...because its a round sink, it would be laminated (one piece on top of the other) which u would see the seam which I would NOT recommend...if u were doing a rectangular sink, you can do a miter on a 45 degree....I can almost guarantee that this is either a standard 1 1/4" thickness and its the illusion of the picture, or its a 2" slab, as we would not have done the laminated direction...

def go with the 45 degree miter on the edge (you wont see seam) and it looks nice.....3/4 is too skinny for around tub etc so beef it up on both sink area and tub area!!!..I often skip the opening to the sink and tub and miter the edges only...its different thicknesses but it goes away...DONT laminate two peices for around sink....I have never done it and it looks awful...trust me on that one!!

sorry if I wasnt clear....miter edges only, do not laminate the opening to creat a thicker edge around sink and tub opening as your only option will be to see the seam...

Thank you! I love how the wall color sets it off. I'm afraid White Dove will look too yellow, but you work it in the perfect way! Oh, to have your eye!!!!!
