    Tracey Stephens Interior Design Inc I also agree that the indented sink into the bay window is a bad idea. You'll be boxed in there and the cabinets to each side are useless. In a recent kitchen I designed, the center large window is fixed so there's no need to access it. The 2 side windows are casements and be easily operated. You'll have plenty of air flow and breeze with that configuration. See image below:

    Anitra Willis OnePlan, thanks for the drawing. We actually had our designer draw our 1st design similar to that but we wanted more cabinet space.
    Tracey, love what you did. Hubby and I love it!! I shared the pic with our designer. We will discuss it further with her on Monday.
    So thankful for all the great advice on here. :)

    Tracey Stephens Interior Design Inc The tub niche took a lot of careful measuring and planning! The marble shelves are 3/4" x 4". The niche is as deep as the wall studs. Each shelf is set on top of a 1/2" marble jamb. I used the ceramic tile chair-rail as the frame around the niche. You could also use bullnose.

    jacksonbeth Another neat option is this tile backsplash option from Web Don, called Kitchen Palette. We just used this in our kitchen and its awesome. You can interchange the over piece over the stove or sink.

    benjijk I think what happened in your case is a unique circumstance and can happen when purchased through a store or online. On the other hand, there are a lot of porcelain tiles that look like wood and bamboo. This link shows you a few great choices. http://tiledaily.com/category/porcelain/wood-porcelain/ TileDaily is pretty well reputed and they are on houzz as well.

    Cameo Kitchens, Inc. It is 3cm granite. The supports, which you can see in the area between the corbels, are two 10" x 10" Freedom Invisible stainless steel counter support brackets from Federal Brace:
