The plates are up too high to take them down at the moment, but in a ceramic class, I made a salad set, including a large serving bowl, 6 luncheon plates and 6 salad bowls in the cabbage shape in 1978. I still use them often, especially in spring and summer. The soft cabbage green color has coordinated with absolutely every color scheme I have had over the years. They look so great on an Easter table.

I''m a clock lover, too. I have a clock in practically every room. I've had my kitchen clock for nearly 20 years. I had to have it because on the face it has different herbs painted on it--thyme, sage, dill and basil.

This was bought for me by my husband on our first trip together and he got to see I meant what I said when I told him I've no sense of time. Being a military retiree it was an adjustment for him. Now I think we've traded places since I'm always waiting on him! It does run. Well, most of the time. Still my favorite clock.

I love a good analog clock! Somehow seeing time divided into sections of a circle makes more sense to my brain than pure numbers. I once had a cell phone that could display an analog clock face and always kept it on that setting. (I do, however, need to have the numbers marked out. Even if they're just lines.)

Though when I need to see the time, I usually check my watch. It's weird how few people wear watches anymore.

This is an interesting collection of clocks. I love that peacock one, that's gorgeous! And the square one at the end. The schoolhouse one, though; that one got a firm "NOPE." Too many memories of overlong school days ruled by that tyrant, I think.
