w.b. builders The problem you will run into with a black quartz is that it will have a polished finish versus a matte finish like Soapstone. It will have the look of polished black granite. Is that something that interests you? Otherwise there is a granite we have been using called Jet Mist. It has the look of soapstone but the durability of granite.

Granite Grannies If you like soapstone, you should just use it. It's very easy to take care of. It doesn't stain, and it's easy to get nicks out with a little bit of sandpaper. Leathered or honed granite is virtually indestructible and will give you that same feel.

w.b. builders We used Jeffrey Court, but the series is no longer available. The Sonoma Market, Ashbury series in Crema crackle 3x6 is a similar choice. We have purchased both through Tile X Design in Plymouth, MN. I'd encourage you to reach out to them. They are a great resource.
