llilibe103: Thank you. The wood lath is the existing material from the original 1930s house. We removed the plaster from the lath then removed the lath from the wall. Next, we cleaned the lath, both sides and edges, with wire wheel drill bit and drill. We kept the finish natural - no coatings.
