I worked with ASW Design to gut and rehab a two-flat in Wrigleyville. Before working with the firm, I researched about 10 residential architects in Chicago who came to me through recommendations from others. ASW won based on the work they had done in the past as well as the level of understanding that Ana quicly developed with me. Working with Ana and her team was a pleasure. She was respectful of the financial limits of the project, worked with me for endless hours on the design and details, delivered plans that received compliments from guests until the day I moved out and expertly managed the construction project. I especially appreciated Ana's European touches and accomplished use of light to achieve flexible effects with space. Her connections throughout Chicago for high-quality supplies at great prices were also very useful. I have recommended ASW to friends.and would work with Ana again without any hesitation.

In 1996 I hired ASW to make the best of my small kitchen. Anna was able to give us many cabinets, plenty of counter space and even a center island we used as table. Until the day we sold our home, people always asked, “how did you manage to get all these cabinets in here? My response never changed – “I had a magician working on this project!”, and Anna is just that. When bidding on a new home in 2012, I immediately thought of ASW Design. We knew the house needed a total rehab and after getting Anna’s approval on the original plans of the house we went ahead with a very long and costly project. For the next 6 months Anna took on the role of our ARCHITECT, designer, advisor, project manager while working closely with the contractor and best of all a good friend who was always ready to lend a shoulder to lean on. After reworking the entire space, today our home is spectacular. Anna always asked for my opinions; she listened and heard what I liked and wanted. She is a true professional!! Thank you Anna, you have exceeded all of my expectations. Susan

I worked with asw on three projects - one in 2009 and two in 2012 so I am a repeat customer. The first project was an addition/remodel of a historic bungalow. We literally took the roof off (it was sagging and beyond repair) and also updated electrical and plumbing. I appreciated her knowledge of good architectural design as well as the practical things like understanding city codes so that the plans were not constantly revised or rejected. The home has great flow now! The second project was space planning/layout of the second floor attic renovation. While we haven't completed the work, the space planning is awesome and I can't wait to see it come to fruition. Her design considered my family i.e. we're tall - we needed closet space and wanted to have as much natural light as possible. And the design makes the best use of a smaller space approx. 1200 sq ft. The latest project is a basement remodel. Again good space planning and knowledge of city codes so that I could challenge my contractor if he made a suggestion that would be questioned by the city. Also, I was given good ideas to make the space very livable and comfortable. This project will be completed this summer. In all I have been very pleased!
