Business Description
Project: The word ‘project’ encompasses all that is paramount to our philosophy at Hufft Projects.

As a noun, project is “an undertaking requiring concerted effort.” Each design solution is a complex mixture of elements and thoughts that must work together in a cohesive fashion to be successful. We guarantee this cohesion by carefully researching and analyzing each design aspect. Then each element is studied for how it might relate to the project as a whole to create a successful mixture.

As a verb, project means “to convey an impression to an audience.” As designers, we understand that we are also creating a piece of our client’s identity. Thus, our work is defined by each client’s independent needs, not a unified style or time period. Every client and program requires a unique logic of creation; the only consistent ingredient of our creation process is the use of modern logic and sustainability with the goal of advancing our clients’ lifestyle, business, and/or image to a higher level.

Kudos, Becky, for capturing a synopsis of Houzz for readers. Sometimes we just don't have time to read everything and it's nice to have someone point us to the highlights.

I hated Bee Movie...completely misleading in how pollination works and the reason for it. Pollination is important for plant reproduction, but plants don't DIE simply because they're not pollinated (They just don't have sex - which requires pollen from their OWN species). I realize the whole movie was tongue-in-cheek and meant to be taken as a gentle environmental message, but I found the assumption of ignorance insulting and the movie to be the worst I had seen in a long time. I do like bees and appreciate the role they play, and I have toyed with the idea of beekeeping once we have the space; but these could have been done better justice even with an animated film.

As for resonating, I really enjoyed Benjamin Vogt's article the other week on Selfless Gardening, which goes right along with conservation of bees and other insects. Go natives!
