“I have the orange wing pendant lamp handing in my daughter's room. It is so cool, and it creates a wonderful soft glow so I can leave it on for her at night as a reading/night light. It really has a fantastic design, it was easy to hang and it creates great ambiance. This is a fun lamp by a great designer. It is original, whimsical, and well crafted too.”

“David Bowen both designed, built and installed the kitchen in my timber frame home. This has added great value to my home and has facillitated the ease and enjoyment of cooking in this gourmet kitchen.”

“Hundred Mile was truly a one stop shop! With my help, we designed my dream living room, settled payment , and it was the couple Josh and Kristina who delivered the custom products from Italy and Spain to my house. Besides doing large scale work with them, I have also bought a number of their accessories at their retail shop in Rhinebeck. They are very personable, know about their products. It is impossible to see everything they sell based on the scope of their manufacturers, but they can definitely help you with your modern furniture, accessory etc needs.”

“Michael is a gifted artisan. Our dining chairs, from my wife's grandmother, had once featured immensely intricate woodworking on their backs--tiny pieces of mahogany crisscrossing and curving every which way, with an unusual finish. Over the decades, despite the obvious high quality of the craftsmanship in their original construction, these backs had slowly been destroyed by generations of children hanging on them, bashing them with bats, etc. We showed Michael a picture of one of the intact chairs, and handed him our three broken chairs, along with a bag of some of the little pieces of wood that had fallen off over the years. The wood we provided was clearly insufficient to bring the chairs back to their proper state. Michael managed to re-create these elaborate backs, seamlessly working in reproduction pieces of wood he somehow fashioned in his workshop. Michael matched the finish and design from the original so well that I cannot tell the difference between the reproduction and original portions of my chairs. Several years on, they’re still in perfect condition. He’s also done some similarly impressive work on badly damaged fine antique furniture for my father-in-law. His pricing isn’t cheap, but you’re paying for old world quality craftsmanship. If you have fine antique furniture in need of repair and appreciate finely done work, it’s worth it to have the work done properly. The accompanying pictures are before and after of one of the chairs.”

“We spent 3 years searching the internet for a dining room table. We stumbled across Johnny's table and instantly knew it was what we were looking for; it was made from a solid piece (800 pounds) of gorgeous bubinga wood, resting on two curved, custom-cast glass legs, and finished perfectly to show off the grain. We met Johnny at his factory to view the table, and it was there we realized he is an artist whose medium is wood. In the 10 years since we purchased the dining room table and his cantilevered chairs, we have bought many more of his creations. Though they are very different in purpose (from a pear wood hallway table to a wenge bed and dressers) all of them are beautifully designed, meticulously crafted from beautiful wood, and completely original.”

“My husband and I are very pleased with our new barn door! I have always wanting a barn door for my kitchen but I couldn't find something unique enough until I came across this company. Brian, the owner, was a delight to work with. Between his professionalism, craftsmanship and communication I couldn't have been happier. I got exactly what I wanted. I would definitely give him a 5 star review and recommend him to anyone looking for custom furniture!”

“I have several pieces of furniture created by Geoff and have been extremely pleased with the results. I allowed him to use his own creativity and eye for detail. As a result I have some beautiful pieces which highlight the character of the wood and enhance his designs. His ability as a craftsman and attention to detail are showcased by his excellent work.”

“Working with Jenny is like working with a close friend with impeccable taste. She overflows with creative energy and brings enthusiasm and sincerity to her work. She understands that decorating one's home is so much more than choosing the right elements and putting them together in a space. She treats it as the personal process that it is, one of creating a home that reflects individual tastes and that welcomes and soothes the soul. . -Christina B”
