“I bought Michael Bartell's home in Sedona Arizona some years ago. It is the most wonderful house I have ever owned. Filled with amazing kitchen cabinets, built-in bookcases, corner shelves, Picasso marble and a beautiful front door with a stained glass window. Also has a huge garage with tons of cabinets. “The apartment community that I manage was undergoing a major renovation in August of last year. One of our major focal points in our lobby area was a large chandelier, which needed to be updated. After a few weeks of looking online and at several furniture stores in the area (there were many!) we came across this amazing green and silver chandelier that would bring everything together perfectly. It was located in the front of the store. When we asked how much it was, we were soon told that this specific chandelier wasn't for sale, and that it was simply the lighting for the store. Knowing that there wasn't anything else like it in the area, we asked the associate if the manager would consider selling it to us. Within minutes, the manager showed up. We spoke for a few minutes, and he was willing to sell it to us. We were delighted! He walked back to his office, pulled out the receipt and paperwork that came with the chandelier to see how much he had originally paid for it. From what I can recall, he had purchased it for around $5,000, but made us an offer of $4,000.00. It was well within our budget, so we happily took it! It was dismantled from their store in two days and carefully delivered in packaging to our office. The attached photo is the end result. To this day, we still get several prospects and vendors asking us where we got it from, and we are ever grateful that the manager at Ashley Furniture was willing to sell it to us. Because they were willing to work with us by compromising their aesthetics and going above the line of customer service, we have and always will recommend Ashley Furniture to future residents who move into our community.”
