“Bailey did interior design for our apartment. She and her team changed paint colors, floors, lighting fixtures, and furnished and decorated the entire apartment. She was on budget and on time, and we love her design. The quality of work is great. We think the purchased goods are as good as they could be for the budget. Bailey is trust worthy, which was so important for us because we found her and worked with her remotely from another state. We only came over when Bailey had finished most of the work. “I hired Studio Palomino to design, project manage and decorate the 2019 renovation of my kitchen and master/guest bathrooms. Additionally the firm oversaw the painting of our entire interior and an overhaul of the furnishings in several rooms. I chose the firm because its eclectic, casual yet sumptuous style and sensibility totally dovetailed with mine, and I appreciated the proprietor’s (Barbie Palomino) low-key yet decisive manner. The entire project was complete in a little more than 6 months and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The contractor she chose was also top-notch and extremely easy and responsive to work with. She always presented a variety of options in a range of budget levels and price points, focusing on my taste and preferences, rather than one standard style, all while guiding me to making the best, and often delightfully unexpected, choice! We were on a shoestring budget and she would always be around to respond to message from me when i was out thrifting which was extremely helpful. “Jen at Voit Studios made our lives tremendously easier in a recent dual bathroom renovation in an older Hilo house. Previously, we had designed our own renovations. We started with this one but quickly became overwhelmed by the project. Jen picked up from where we began and made render after render, showing us how each of our many ideas might look. She also ordered tile and laminate samples from the mainland and Honolulu that arrived very quickly (within a day or two) allowing us to actually see and feel what the materials and colors would look like in the rooms. Once we decided on the tile, she made more renders to show what different layouts would look like. We had never worked with a designer before, thinking it too expensive and not wanting the kind of non-personal look that you often see with "designed houses". But Jen worked with us, never trying to force her personal taste on the project, and was very respectful of our budget. She smoothed over the edges of the process, making it much less stressful and less expensive. You don’t need a big and showy house to make use of a designer. Jen proved that to us.”

“We had a really great experience with Elizabeth of Interior Alchemy for the remodel of our rental beach cottage. She was very helpful and knowledgeable during the design phase of our project. We were so happy to have her feng shui expertise as well. Then months before work actually started, she did extensive research to find all the products and contractors we needed. She was determined to find exactly what we wanted, which wasn't easy as we had many requests. This included that products, if possible, be environmentally friendly, locally sourced and of course we had to like them. This was a tall order being on an island where almost everything is shipped in and contractors are not always available. Elizabeth helped us completely remodel the kitchen: new cabinets, appliances, flooring, fixtures, paint and so on. The bath got new a vanity, mirror, toilet, paint hardware and decor. Elizabeth found great new living room furniture, bar stools and picked out delightful paint and accessories. Same for the bedroom. Plus beautiful new flooring was placed throughout the cottage. With any project there are challenges. Elizabeth really stepped up to help problem solve anything that came up along the way. She worked on the project to the end, even helping with the final cleanup. We met our completion date and just love the cottage. We stayed in it ourselves for a week before renting it and didn't want to leave.”
