Redtwig Garden Design, LLC
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 22, 2015
“Dede Delaney and Redtwig Garden Design have been working with me on our gardens since 2010. Redtwig has installed a cottage style front border featuring native species and herbs, a cutting garden, a shade border under spruce and white birch, and a blueberry and cranberry border on our pond, a lilac and peony border and provided maintenance and upgrades to existing areas. Dede is always mindful of our budget and has arrived and completed projects in a timely manner. Her suggestions are always helpful, her designs are impactful, her attitude is willing and cooperative. It will be my pleasure to continue working with Dede and Redtwig Garden Design -- I have recommended her to family and friends -- they have been equally pleased and impressed.”

“The Ream Design team was outstanding in all aspects of the project. They took the time to understand our tastes and needs, and created detailed site plans They listened to our feedback and worked to create plans that we felt comfortable with, guiding us along the way in a constructive manner. We we signed the dotted line they brought in a large crew with the necessary tools. The plants they furnished were top notch. They took care to plant carefully, clean up every day, and to not damage any of the surroundings. If there was a problem they took case of it. No problem was too small. They then guided us during the critical first year when the landscape developed. They took obvious pride in their work and we ended up with a top notch landscape that gets better every year. We were completely satisfied with their work.”
Dian Barnes Landscape Design, LLC
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 4, 2016
“We have been using Dian Barnes for all of our landscape design projects for nearly 10 years (including 2 large scale projects and ongoing maintenance) and have been extremely happy with her work. She is experienced, creative, personable, and easy to work with. She is reliable with deadlines and commitments and takes pride in her work. Best of all, the end result is stunning!!! A few years ago, she helped us with our pool project. (see pics of Avon Staycation project). We installed an in-ground pool, and built a pool house. She was involved in the project from the very beginning. Not only did she design all landscaping related to the project, but she helped us manage the whole project overall, from selection of contractors, assistance with decision-making on a million tiny details, and project management during the installation phase, to final touches like gorgeous planters (which she continues to maintain for us each year). I can't say enough about how fabulous her work has been. We will continue to use Dian Barnes for all of our landscape design work for years to come!”

“Environmental Design & Landscaping did a great job on our patio project. Tom was on-site everyday. He came up with good design ideas for our space. He and his helpers worked quickly and were very skilled. His company did a fantastic job with clean up when the project was completed. He was also very responsive when we asked him to come back and handle addition work relating to the project. We recommended him to our son at his home and the results were equally great. Highly recommend his company.”
Rutland Nurseries, Inc.

“Rutland Nurseries completed 2 projects for us, 2 walkways and an enclosed patio with a rounded sitting wall (Unilock®). There were many positives to having work done by the crew from Rutland Nurseries, among them are: Andy was the designer and supervisor of both projects. He was very easy to work with and patient throughout the planning process. He made suggestions but did not force his opinions on us. He was present almost daily throughout the projects. In addition, the workers arrived on time each morning and came daily until the project was completed. They were respectful of our property and the neighbor’s yard as well. At the end of each day their materials and tools were stored. The workers were personable and had Rutland Nurseries logos on their shirts. We are extremely happy with the work that was completed and would highly recommend Rutland Nurseries if you are thinking of walkways or patios!”
Garden Designs by Jacqueline, Llc.

“Last summer, Jacqueline helped me design a large landscape installation. She made the process fun, educational, and easy. Her computer software readily translates ideas into images. She didn't sell me a generic design, but one which reflects me and my tastes. Rich Levine of Vision Landscaping (another great company) performed the installation. Following her design, he created a beautiful backyard garden. I was so satisfied with their work, that this year, I used them again to design and install a front yard project. The results have been equally as nice. I would give them both high praise and recommend their services to others. The cost below represents Jacqueline's share of the two projects.”

“Scott and Blue Heron Landscape Design are wonderful. Created a beautiful bird/butterfly garden and walkway that totally transformed our back deck area. They are courteous, professional, and go above and beyond. Would most definitely use them again and again when I need landscaping help!”
Kathleen Bassett Gardens

“I hired Kathy to remove old, overgrown existing bushes and plantings and design a new garden and walkway border in front of my house. She came up with a beautiful plan that utilized low maintenance plants that were indigenous to the area and could be maintained with organic gardening methods.Since I live near a salt marsh,I did not want herbicides and pesticides used on my property in case of run-off into the ocean.I gave her my favorite colors and flower suggestions and she did the rest. She was very hardworking and came when scheduled so I felt she was very reliable. Her fees were fairly priced and I found her to be a pleasure to work with.I have recommended her to several of my neighbors and friends.”

“The RDG team has worked with Wildside Cottage & Gardens in Conway MA since 2008, beginning when our eight acres of hill, ledge and soggy meadow were wild except for the remnants of an old Christmas tree farm. At that time our pretty 780 sf net-zero cottage was just nearing completion. RDG first assessed the wind, water, soil conditions and sun exposure across the seasons, then carefully sited seven specialized gardens where the crops planted in each would thrive. The gardens emphasize perennial plantings, and include herbs, perennial vegetables, fruit trees, grape vines, nut trees, tubers, legumes and other plants which nourish our needy soil, annual storage crops including rice, plus three seasons of flowering plants to provide food for pollinators. With time, Wildside is becoming a hugely productive ‘edible landscape’ -- without clear- cutting or chemical insecticides and fertilizers. RDG’s approach has also helped us maintain our precious connection with the wildlife living here, and traveling through. RDG has given us expert design advice on infrastructure -- from steps down a steep hillside, to a boardwalk across a wet meadow, to water conservation through terracing hillsides and capturing run-off, to extracting valuable leachate from the composting toilet, to how to make our root cellar optimal for old-fashioned underground winter storage. RDG also designed and built our small unheated greenhouse, which now accommodates two fig trees, winter spinach, various spring starts, and in summer either tomatoes or, alternately, sweet potatoes. Wildside’s goal has been to develop a demonstration and teaching site that will help visiting students and the general public learn how to achieve better food and energy security for the future. The RDG team have been indispensable partners in this project. The RDG team is hugely knowledgeable, patient and good-natured, and their prices are clear and reasonable. We at Wildside can recommend RDG without reservation. wildsidecottageandgardens.org”

“Julie has been helping me to develop and tending my gardens for several years. She is knowledgeable, creative, collaborative, punctual, strong of body (very essential for this 64-year-old!) and very good at communicating via phone or email to arrange and rearrange schedules, which she does promptly and clearly. In addition, she is just plain fun to work with out there in the garden! I couldn't ask for more. Randi Stein”
