Stairway modification

This two part staircase and landing was carpeted during original construction. Positioned right at the home's entrance, the original staircase presented a drab and dated look to any vistors. The first step of the improvement project was to remove the carpet and framing lumber comprising the old treads.

Once stripped down to the original stringers new hardwood treads were added along with painted white risers. A compatible plank hardward floor was added to the landing. Original balusters and rails were retained and repainted to finish the project.
