Venetian Residence

A desire for luxury and refinement was fulfilled in the master bedroom retreat of this Paradise Valley residence. A color palate of icy blue, silver and chocolate pops against the silk upholstered square tiles covering the wall behind a mahogany four-poster bed based on an 18th century French design.

This classic Venetian-style dining room was created for intimate entertaining. The client’s wish for warm, rich colors was realized in the metallic bronze glaze achieved in a five-step process. From the tin ceiling to the custom silk area rug, this room exudes comfortable sophistication.

A colorful farmyard was the theme for this little boy’s nursery. The trompe l’oeil mural painted on all four walls and the ceiling was designed to be visually stimulating but pastoral and calming as well. A whimsical hot air balloon chandelier suspended from colorful swaths of fabric draped from large wood corbels are reminiscent of a tent in this round circus themed child’s bathroom. The ordinary rectangular bathtub was replaced by a six-foot round tub. Bright colors and a trompe l’oeil banner complete the look.
