Mechanicsburg Kitchen

This custom kitchen is not only beautiful, but it is efficient. There are various work zones in the space-gone are the days of the "work triangle". The island sink is a Kohler Stages and it is the hub of the prep area. The cooking zone is in various locations, depending on the appliance. The Blue Star range top is on the far wall, the Miele speed oven is located in the island opposite the range top. The steamer oven is located in the island as well, to the left of the prep sink. Ovens are located behind the prep sink. The clean-up zone is under the window. There is a trash pullout behind the sink in the island. And flanking the sink on each side is a Fisher Paykel dishdrawer. Putting the dishes away is a breeze, since the cabinets are located on each side of the sink, near the dish drawers. There is a beverage area located to the right of the glass refrigerator. It includes a small beverage sink, and a Perlick beverage center. This area doubles as a coffee bar and as a bar for entertaining. Guests do not find themselves needing to enter the area where the cook is working to get their refreshments.

The counters are Super White quartzite. The island is over 10 feet long, and is one solid piece of stone. It is surely the show stopper in this kitchen. The back splash tile is from Mission Stone & Tile, it is Beveled Arabesque Tile in white.

The cabinets were made by Dutch Wood in Myerstown. We worked together to make sure every drawer and faux front drawer matched so that the sight lines would not be interrupted.
