Spring Lake- Cape Cod Transformation

A small cape cod within three lots from the Atlantic Ocean was not suitable for a couple who required 4 bedrooms and a new home -to capture the views of the Ocean from this high lot.

DDG worked closely with the homeowner to craft a thoughful home design, while working atop the existing foundation, resulting in a contextually appropriate home of traditional style that fits well in the coastal town of Spring Lake,

Among the many features which DDG integrated into this home, is a geothermal heating/cooling system, foam insulatation + solar electric roof top panels which result in a home which is highly-energy effecient as well as exceptionally comfortable for the owners, A whole house generator (natural gas fueled) has come in handy recently as super storm 'Sandy', dramatically impacted this coastal region, cutting off power for two weeks. However, the generator allowed this homeowner to return to the home and live comfortably during the challenging weeks that followed.
