This powder room's narrow and long design was a challenge for a muralist. Originally the owner had asked me to develop a texture or faux finish in tones of charcoal grey or black and silver. I made a dozen samples, and while I was researching ideas found a Rembrandt etching that caught my attention. It was a powerful black and white print of three trees in a Dutch landscape. I...More

I was commissioned to paint a few ceiling frescoes for a customer's new home. I had presented the customer with a variety of Italian and French baroque artwork, he chose François Boucher, a French master, and Gianbattista Tiepolo, an Italian master of the 18th century as his favorites. We painted these mythological scenes with acrylic paint on canvas, on the garage's floor, and...More

This baby's room has been painted over with a stylized flower pattern inspired by the bedding. I varied the size and color of the pattern and spread it over the room after having mentally blocked off the areas where the furniture would be. In collaboration with Janice Auger Decor.

This painted ceiling has been built with layers of glazes, one end of the ceiling having to look like darker than the other to create a feeling of night falling without having to make a very dark ceiling. The smiling moon is right above the crib, and small stars stud the sky in the darker area.

Whimsical baby's room. The foliage and birds were painted before the furniture was delivered, so I carefully took into account the size and future placement of each piece so everything would fit perfectly.

This mural was inspired by the watercolors of 19thc. artist David Roberts. They depict his travels through the holy land, perfect as an inspiration for this Jewish household's dining room. White canvas was glued to the wall, primed, drawn upon and then painted with acrylics. I had to combine different paintings in order to make a mural that would cover the whole room and still ...More

This bathroom was luxurious enough with its fireplace, handmade glass partition and a jacuzzi tub for two, but the abstract seascape I painted on its walls gave it the finishing touch, bringing everything together through soft colors and movement.

This kitchen was part of a larger condo renovation. The designer wanted something special to enliven the kitchen and came up with the idea of a trompe-l'œil on the fridge doors. I was given two panels previously finished by the cabinetmaker and setup a still life in my studio, which I reproduced on the panels in oil paints. The panels were then mounted on the fridge.

A refreshing take on "pink is for girls", this nursery boldly mixes wallpaper stripes, carpet flowers and a plants and insect mural. The mural's colours and stylized shapes were inspired by the Missoni carpet. In collaboration with Mario Januario Design.

The mural's low placement was intentional: the dad wants his little girl to be surrounded with happy and stimulating colours while she learns to crawl and walk.In collaboration with Mario Januario Design.

We kept the mural on a white background to make a peaceful transition between the carpet and the walls: while the carpet is dense with pattern and colours, the wallpaper isn't. The mural links the two areas by combining colours and rhythm at a quieter tempo. In collaboration with Mario Januario Design.

The designer wanted to add a 3D element to the pink ceiling, so I created 3 butterflies that hang playfully above the crib with dollar store materials, glue, paint and fishing line. In collaboration with Mario Januario Design.
