2.1. San Francisco Buena Vista Deco

This Mirror which I found at an Antiquarian a few blocks from the project, tied the architecture and created the Deco theme for the house.

Two pairs of mirrored arched french doors. These were previously used for closets which we undid. Then we placed them in the narrow corridor to make it look wider, and provide access to storage under the stairs. Fabric fills the top. See how the stairway wall floats.

Bespoke Library built-in design. This previous hall wall, already had a Bookcase opposite as you can see reflected in the backsplash mirror. We added this one, and a wet bar in it. Also, if I may add the so called skylight or glass ceiling is not, it is a glass floor in landing in the level above so people actually must walk on.

Clear glass. Full view of everything, the person below in the Library, and the downstairs wet bar.

These mirrored doors were relocated to cover this wall and reflect the room accross.

The door under the stairs was added and we created a mini poweder room, as the penthouse had none in this level. Glass ceiling shows the landing the stair lead to now a glass floor. The amount of light brought in is helped not only by the glass ceiling but the skylights above. Standing on the upstairs landing you can see the downstair Library through the Glass Floor.

This space didn't exist as such. There was a closet facing the wrong direction, and a structural corner. After surgery we came out with a Wet Bar.

I designed the suspended elliptical mirror to float in front of the bay window. Then we painted black and faux.
