A Collector's Kitchen
Very modern and sleek kitchen
A wall was opened and a niche created to display Picasso-style Murano glass vase. Red edging accents wall dividers as well in the bi-level ceiling tying in the red theme of the highly-polished red surfaces of the center island. Ric Marder Imagery
A cantilevered, hand-painted glass slab eating surface is attached to the center island. LED lighting strips illuminate the artwork. Natural, honed granite below range hood adds a textural counterpoint to the sleek gloss of the cabinet surfaces. An enclosed plasma TV unobtrusively fills the space above the Wolf Sub-Zero ovens. 450 square foot modern eat-in/dining kitchen in Roslyn, Long Island. Cabinetry is finished with a 3-layer, hand-polished metallic paint that sparkles in the light. Three custom-blended colors were utilized; the center island is fire engine red; the tall and lower cabinets are a charcoal and the upper cabinets are silver.
