Northport renovation

This Northport home, built in the late 90's as a spec house, lacked the features that make a house function well for a family. It had the right complement of spaces, but their design and sizes were awkward. The Kitchen and Family Room were too small, and had too many doorways. The Master Bedroom was too large, leaving inadequate room for a proper master bath and walk-in closets.

The solution was to reconfigure spaces within the footprint of the home, to right-size the spaces and open things up. The spaces needed to be re-imagined to suit the needs of this busy active family.
