With a two story art glass window and a window seat, this stairway provides a wonderful passage way between floors. The art glass windows, used throughout the house, filter the sunlight rather than just letting it shine in. The built in bookcases and window seat at the top of the stair provide a cozy place to curl up with a book on a snowy Illinois day.

A detail of the two story art glass staircase window. The art glass is manufactured by Andersen Windows under license from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. This pattern was used by Wright at the Unity Temple building in Oak Park Illinois.

The parents bedroom features the east facing triangular bat window with art glass inserts. The art glass is from a design by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Unity Temple in Oak Park, IL. The ceiling steps up above the bed area and has concealed cove lighting. The painted trim carries on the trim theme used throughout the home.
