Kitchen and Lower Level Remodel

This remodel started with a galley that was closed off from the rest of the home. The homeowners wanted to create a kitchen that was open, serving as an central hub for family members and guests. A new large window had recently been installed into the space and was utilized as part of the new design.

A bank of low cabinets were placed beneath this window along the wall to allow homeowner to use this space as a buffet/storage area. Creative solutions were used throughout this area, such as a dog feeding station with a pull-out drawer, and a pantry making the most of a single wall of cabinets. Support columns became a design feature to frame out the seating of the island. The island became a spectacular furniture piece by the use of cherry cabinets, granite countertops and millwork details such as turned posts.

The addition of a farm house sink and under-mount microwave created a work station the homeowner had always dreamed of. Finally, the perimeter of the kitchen includes cherry cabinets, lapides granite and a glass stone mix backsplash that added warmth to this newly renovated space.
