Hedingham Kitchen - Winter 2011/ 2012

by The Kitchen & Bath Showroom
The clients enjoy entertaining guests but felt like the kitchen and dining nook were broken up too much because of the peninsula, creating a barrier to the most popular room in the house. They wanted to remove the peninsula that but had previously been told that it couldn’t be done but The Kitchen & Bath Showroom was able to find a way to make it happen! We removed the peninsula and moved the sink and dishwasher to the new island, replacing the white laminate cabinets with a rich, creamy off-white painted cabinet from Wellborn Forest on the perimeter with a contrasting, dark stained island, also from Wellborn Forest, in the center of the room. As part of a few additional improvements to the layout, the desk area just that was never used was turned into a dry bar and the added niches above the cabinets, to be used as display areas.
