Delaware Beach House
by Sightline Art Consulting
For this ultra contemporary beach house, Sightline created a cohesive collection of minimalist and photographic works. The minimal, abstract pieces were chosen mainly because of their colors: bright blues, yellows and oranges that evoke water, sand and sun. The photographs were selected primarily for their content: oceanside scenes, sometimes with a humorous, personal touch, such as Larry Silver's Muscle Beach weightlifters. To match the high-level, spare design of the home, the artwork is refined and efficiently placed. But it's also cheerful and fun, inviting people to stay a while and enjoy. House designed by architect Robert Gurney.
