South Atlanta/ Home Decor/small budget
A new homeowner and client in South Atlanta wanted her new home to have the "homey" feel without a hefty price tag. We all know the financial obligations of becoming a home owner can be quite overwhelming.. but that doesn't mean you can't make a place feel welcoming FOR LESS! My client fell in love with the cool and calm palette of pale and dark grays, pastel blues, creme that I picked out and wanted to incorporate her sofa she already owned.
As you enter the family room you are greeted with adequate seating which is the brown sectional adorned with pastel blue, gray and cream throw pillows. The glass table is placed on top of a modern gray and white rug which ties in with other decor around the room and anchors the seating area. A beautiful glass vase is filled with beach shells and a candle is placed in the center for a nice touch.
The fireplace shown is flanked by floating shelves on each side with various decor accessories coordinating with the color palette. On the right side a bench and two throw pillows provide a small seating area for extra guests! The left side of the fireplace is decorated with three floor vases with a dried floral branch arrangement, which adds interest and some texture to the room. We can't forget about the large mirror on top of the mantel, reflecting lots of light.
The window treatments selected were two gorgeous pastel blue and cream patterned panels. Blinds were left off to let in more light. These curtains tie in fabulously with the rest of the room, very fresh and airy!
A close up of the pillow I selected for my client. She loved the intricate patterned pillow! The went very nicely with the rug and curtains.
Take a look at that dried floral arrangement! It really brings the outdoors in and adds some texture, it looks perfect next to the large fireplace.
