Hillside Residence

We transformed this traditional builder home (built in 2006) into a series of jewel-box spaces.

Because of its wooded site, the home lacked natural light and the interior lighting scheme needed a sophisticated approach. The homeowners also required all new furniture and accessories. We adopted their personal tastes to create a cohesive and harmonious environment.
Nearly every surface in the home was either replaced or refinished. Carpeted floors became solid walnut, and paint colors were lightened and brightened.

We augmented the lighting scheme with museum-quality fixtures to better showcase our clients’ eclectic art collection.

Floor to ceiling custom built walnut shelving and bookcases maximize wall space. The sofa perfectly tucks into the unit, and unfolds into a sleeper bed, transforming the space into a viable guest room. The high-gloss turquoise lacquered bookcase doors are more than just colorful eye candy; they also open up to transform into nightstands.
