The great room includes the dining area. I found the huge farm table in San Miguel de Allende....a bargain at $300! The chairs are from a garage sale and I put Ethnic fabric over the back to add a dash of color!

The rug is a kilim....the pillows in this photo are silk....fireplace was carved by hand by the fantastic stone carvers in San Miguel.

Most of the decorative object in the great room were found in junk stores and antique stores! San Miguel is a wonderful place to shop. There are many old stone pieces....doors, furniture etc. Now I find that the contemporary design in San Miguel is getting more wonderful by the year. Great designers!

The 15 foot tall French doors were custom made. They are wood and rusted iron.

This view is of the great room taken from one corner of the courtyard. I shot this back over the pool at night. This second home is very lovely at night with the lights on in the garden and in the house.

The blue and white pottery is from Delores Hidalgo....a little ceramic making town very close to San Miguel de Allende.

All the wood furniture in this photo was "found" in my very fun shopping trips around San Miguel de Allende.

Nothing is our home is "perfect"..........we rent our home out when we are not there and I did not want it to be too precious! Besides I really love a look that does not feel so perfect that a person can not sit down and put their feet up!

This stone fireplace was carved with this face which is supposed to be my grand daughter CC.....it looks nothing like her as a baby....the the love and the feeling are there for me!!

This is a traditional Huipil (I may not be spelling this right, sorry) I collected ethnic pieces from may parts of the world to enrich this space.

This was a real find....as in the back of an old shack at a nursery when I was buying plants for our garden. It is a traditional Mexican wedding chest.

These bowls were almost being given away when I collected them.....now the price has gone WAY up....I guess I should have bought them instead of stock!!

There are many pottery places and lots of old and new terra cotta pieces.....here I just stacked them up to get the height I needed for this spot.
