Chestnut Residence

by Jensen Architects
This interior remodel of an existing townhouse perched above San Francisco Bay emphasizes the space’s expansive and dramatic views. The neutral airy interior consists of white walls, translucent white laminated glass, white lacquered cabinets and white Carrara marble tile, allowing light to penetrate into all areas of the narrow house. The floor, a rich Brazilian Cherry wood, grounds the luminous interior spaces while a custom open stair with floating wood treads links all levels of the home.
