This 1950s bungalow style home located on Cape Cod was tired and beat up. It was cramped and cluttered, devoid of light and badly in need of some love and attention. The plan was to open up and refresh this home. We wanted to give the home a casual elegance with a Cape Cod beaches identity. We wanted to strip away the dark colors, the old pergo floors, the outdated kitchen and bathrooms and provide a fresh finish on the house. The cluttered kitchen was demolished, removing the wall that separated it from the dining room to create a seamless transition from room to room. The result is an open plan first floor that flows freely. A large french door was installed in the dining room that allows light to illuminate the space as well as provide more access to a new deck and the large fenced in rear yard. All new stainless steel appliances, cabinets, granite counter tops and fixtures were installed in the kitchen. The bathrooms also received new fixtures, vanity cabinets & Carrera marble counter tops. Beautiful new tile was installed giving these rooms a stylish design. All of the hardwood floors were refinished and all of the walls were freshly painted. The existing layout was also reconfigured on the second floor to create more usable and functional bedrooms and closets. This home has been meticulous renovated and restored and is now a beautiful example of a classic Cape Cod home ready for the 21st century.
