our living room- vintage, white and pastel
our living room has evolved dramatically since we moved in 5 years ago. With the exception of an Ikea couch, all the furniture was thrifted and refurbished. It is a very comfortable, bright room with lots of personal mementos. This was all decorated with a small budget.
Our living room is a mix of vintage and salvage pieces. It is light, bright and serene. We have been tweaking it for the last 5 years. All of the furniture pieces in our living room are thrifted, or heirloom, with the exception of an Ikea couch. Denise Biggins
This was my first upholstery job. The vintage chair was recovered in white denim and painted. The wicker side table was found on clearance at a vintage home decor store. Denise Biggins
A collection of vintage and religious pieces I like to collect. Vintage Bibles dating from the 1940's - 1960's; rosary, and madonna in a glass case. Denise Biggins
I made the botanical prints from foam board, burlap, and calendar prints. They were mounted using nail head trim. The pink leaves above are vintage, spray painted for a pop of color. The dough bowl is filled with dried hydrangeas from our garden. The clock was made by my late grandfather. Denise Biggins
The coffee table vignette is a mix of new and old. A Pottery Barn wood tray holds a thrifted horse; an apothecary jar is full of lemons, and twigs and flowers in a French enamel bucket. The pillows on the couch are a mix of new, handmade and vintage. Denise Biggins
