As Interior Designer, collaboration directly with the Architect to achieve an Accessible Environment. Responsibilities included all Interior Finishes, including Custom Designed Inlaid Synthetic GraniteFlooring and Custom Area Carpets which are inset flush with adjacent Synthetic Granite Floors, Window Coverings; including Computerized Solar & Black-out Shades as well as Draperies / Roman Shades, Custom Millwork Furnishings, Plumbing Fixtures & Finishes, Bedspreads, New Furnishings, Custom Closets, Exterior Architectural Lighting and Interior Accent Lighting, Accessories. Selection and Installation of Artwork. Collaboration with Interior Plant Specialist.

Inset Custom Area Carpets within Silestone tile patterned flooring provides ease in use for Wheelchair Users. The exterior architecture comes inside for a clean architectural look. Classic Barcelona Stools complete the look with the client's artwork.

Accessible Great Room is achieved by insetting the custom wool carpet within the Silestone tile border and Motorized Solar Shades. Wall sconces illuminate the barrel vaulted ceiling while eliminating glare on the built-in TV.

Custom wool carpet is inset with custom Silestone tile borders to provide full access for wheelchair users. Custom Dining Table is built in sections, each with separate base, for ease in rearranging room for various functions. Center table base provides full access around perimeter for additional seating and wheelchairs (instead of the traditional corner table legs).

Fully Accessible Bathrm Vanity. Recessed kneespace at sink with full back panels to conceal all plumbing. Silestone floors.

Fully Accessible Shower Area. This special "wet" area was designed for a wheelchair user to use a sink with total kneespace, have various showering options and a specially installed wall mounted toilet which allows for a wheelchair to back directly over it, without a transfer required. Universal Design - photo wall system
Customized wall display system typically used in retail situations was customized here to handle family photos. No more worries about walls of photos being unlevel or moved around from dusting.
Floor tile pattern using Silestone
Universal Design is accomplished by creating tile rug patterns in this very large hallway area. By breaking down into different pattern areas articulated by the architectural arches, this long hallway is full of life. Instead of carpet runners which would have interfered with my client's wheelchair use, I designed various patterns using Silestone tile and stainless dividers.
