Carmel Residence - Carmel, NY

This 3,000 sf home for an empty-nester couple is located in a charming summer colony about an hour and a half north of New York City. The goal was to create a weekend home that would serve as a destination for the extended family and also had the potential of being a retirement home. The subtle plan makes full use of the concept of enfilade and diagonal views through the house give every room a sense of light and views to the lake and surrounding woodlands.
