New England Cottage

The heart of this newly constructed, 2,500-square-foot, New England cottage-inspired home is a light-filled designer kitchen with pro-style appliances, custom-glazed cabinets, exotic granite countertops and an ornate backsplash. Also boasting a large center island, a built-in desk and a butler’s pantry, the kitchen is adjacent to the living room and its 20-foot-long flagstone fireplace. Hand-scraped hickory flooring in a richly dark hue, a nostalgic screened-in porch, and the old-world charm of horizontally paneled walls add to the home’s cozy atmosphere. A special wish from the owners was also fulfilled: an upper-level “bunkhouse” with six built-in beds and toy/game storage for visits from their ten grandchildren!
