Fitchburg Master Suite*

Without replacing the windows, we needed to provide these homeowners with a walk in shower, a better closet space, and a larger vanity with more storage space. We moved the closet entrance into the bedroom, lowered the vanity to fit under the windows, and got rid of the tub all together to provide enough space for a wonderful 5' x 3' shower.

The bathroom has an off centered sky light, so we had to create a unique way to attach the shower glass without having any metal bars going across the top of the glass. The homeowners selected the drywalled soffit option, which brings a visual interest to the space while keeping the wall shorter to not overlap the sky light.

The plans on where to place the laundry chute got adjusted due to plumbing. The homeowners still wanted a laundry chute, but it would be in the middle of their closet floor. We carpeted the panel of a door and put a piano hinge on it with a fabric pull to avoid foot stubbing.
