If you want to add something special to a room then play with the molding and wainscotting. The tile was chosen first which decided everything. My client wanted the feel of a cozy cottage. This bathroom is welcoming and long on character.

A wall was punched out to bring in more light and open up the kitchen. The post and soffit are wrapped in wood and molding, but also add stability. French Bistro chairs offer more seating alongside the banquette with flour sack and toile pillows.

The ceilings were lifted to the roofline in this cozy bedroom to make it feel bigger and bring in more light. Lotus wallpaper by Farrow & Ball was hung behind the bed as the focus wall. The remaining walls were painted in a corresponding Farrow & Ball paint. The yellow Fortuny pendant, and brilliant turquoise mirror give the room a pop of color.
