In many older homes, kitchens were not spaces to enjoy, but rather tolerate. We find that often a number of rooms may have to be combined - in this case the original kitchen and a household help dining room - to create the kind of kitchen that people want today.
The kitchen and breakfast area (beyond) were 'assemble' from existing rooms and even space that was once exterior (breakfast room) was enclosed. We designed new elliptical arches to complement the existing arches and tied the two spaces together.
