One of my favorite shots of my yard with the sun rising and pouring through my maple tree, with the ornamental grasses in the foreground and lawn and meadow in the back ground. It must be the artist in me.

Climbing Hydrangea cascade over the arbor that lead you to the pool environment. The pool, arbor and pergola are centered on the main house, which is a Center Hall Williamsburg Colonial.

The cushions for the pool furniture aren't out yet, but the sun was setting over the pool and I thought I would capture the great shadows and reflection over the water. A pool environment should be as beautiful/aesthetic as it is functional.

Love this shot, because the pool water is so calm and like a glass mirror. So serene and relaxing, which it should be, unless the kids are home. When designing a pool space, I prefer to incorporate some lawn/green space beyond the pool deck. This creates some relief visually from the hard surfaces and acts as an extension of the pool deck.

View of pool environment and rear of home at dusk. This pool was designed to allow for recreation (basketball, volleyball, water polo and laps), so the depth starts on both ends at 3.5' and descends in the middle to 5.5'. It was also designed to allow access from both ends.

Spring has arrived, the pool cover is off, plants are blooming or pushing their foliage, along with the sun setting. I love a reflecting pool, especially when the lighting is right.

Decided to take my camera out just when it started to rain on the pool and grounds. Simple glass and metal lanterns on our pool house are draped with Climbing Hydrangea, along with Indigo in the foreground.

I was so lucky to be home and capture this rainbow over our pool space after a storm past. I wanted to share it with everyone and I have more to follow.
