1960s school desks . . . Refinished + gorgeous
This desk refinishing job turned out amazing! Under the original stain was hiding beautifully grained oak. After stripping, we stained the wood. Outer panels are painted with antique mauve-y grey chalk paint to coordinate with the top trim. All surfaces hand finished with wax. New drawer lock installed and adjusted. The top of the desk is smooth shiny laminate in a faux wood grain colored very similar to the side panels. A traditionally solid piece of furniture with substantial wood and all dovetail jointed...
For this desk we mixed a custom color of very light mauve for the body; the top is laminate in outstandingly amazing condition. Hand rubbed waxed finish, with a new drawer lock and pulls completes the traditional yet straightforward style of this sweet little desk. All our desks in stock now are 42" x 32", a nice compact yet usable size for your kitchen, home office, kid's room or college student.

The balance of the desk is painted grey and lightly distressed. Original wood handles, an oak pull out, and a new keyed drawer lock.
