Delightful Dog Station

A sense of fun pervades this oceanside family home where whimsy is emphasized and encouraged. All cabinets are totally custom and include many special storage features.
The island includes a custom built-in eating area for the family's dogs with special drawers to hold treats and leashes, and on the side of the island is a roll-out with a heavy plastic bin with lid for bulk dog food.
Other unique features in this kitchen include pull out serving trays, a special paper towel holder cabinet, a pastry cabinet, snack drawers for the kids, hidden toekick storage drawers, scallop-edged wall cabinets, a clock cabinet, and undercounter refrigerator drawers.

The open area over the bank of drawers is a charging station for cellphones, iPods, and other portable devices.
The top of the cabinet lifts up on a hinge to reveal a shallow hiding space for papers.
