This project started early in the landscape season, March 2013. If you look close enough you can see the snow piles along the house foundation planting beds. Existing trees were cut down and the stumps removed with the aid of a mini- excavator. All debris was hauled off-site for recycling.

Myrtle, a vigorous ground cover with blue flowers was selected for this location; a narrow area along the house foundation and bordered by cobblestone retaining wall. Myrtle filled in the area after one season and now provides a lush carpet of evergreen.
