I found these sweet little houses in a thrift shop. They were $4.04 for the set of three. (They're one of those things that when you see them, you just HAVE TO HAVE them.....at least I did anyway). JC Redesigns

These houses are actually cut-off pieces of 4" X 4" FENCE POSTS. What a fabulous way to RE-USE, RE-PURPOSE, REDESIGN, and keep them out of the land-fill site. When I bought them, they were painted very dark, somber colours.....dark burgundy, dark green, and dark blue. I chose the "Tropical" colours of yellow, turquoise and white to paint them to harmonize with my existing colour pallet, (see my past project "Brass Chandelier Make-over). I placed them on the floor-boards of my back deck. JC Redesigns
